What is the personal shopping process like?

Personal Shopping can be provided two ways by either in-person or online shopping. This service is highly efficient because the image consultant is able to quickly sift through trends and brands by using the client’s custom image portfolio that defines the best colors, fit, and style.

1. In-Person Shopping

   • For in-person shopping, we recommend starting with one-two hours of pre-shopping where the image consultant scans the stores and selects items to be ready for the client to try on when he or she arrives. This saves time and energy—creating a true, luxury experience.

2. Online Shopping

   • For out-of-town clients or those who need very specific wardrobe items, we recommend online shopping.

   • The online shopping service is made simple by using Pinterest to gather online shopping finds with links. Clients will be able to choose from options in different categories (i.e. tops, bottoms, outerwear). Either the client or with permission and an extra fee, the image consultant, will handle the purchases and returns.

   • Once items are delivered, there will always be a follow-up consultation where the client uploads images wearing the clothing in a shared album, so image consultant can determine fit and what to keep or return.

While the image consultant keeps in mind that all items selected can be easily coordinated, she can show how to mix and match clothing items and accessories in the capsule wardrobe service.

Benefits

Before the image consultant shops, she creates a shopping list by clearly communicating with her clients on their needs and or refers to the notes she made in the closet clean-out service.

The image consultant will not proceed until she has clear sense of her client’s budget and prioritization of wardrobe items. Thus, clients can be rest assured that shopping is targeted to their needs and respectful of their budget.

The image consultant has the expertise of studying different body shapes and the most flattering clothing silhouettes to match. Plus, she knows designer brands that tend to favor certain body shapes, so she saves time in the search for the correct clothing for the client.

The image consultant also shops for a capsule wardrobe—not just individual, statement pieces. So her shopping will always be strategic and efficient for the client.
