Abigail Cole Hardin, the CEO and founder of Inside Out Image Consulting, is passionate about natural, yet effective, makeup techniques because she has a noticeable birthmark on her cheek. She has studied makeup application techniques since she was 13 and she was trained by a New York makeup artist to understand custom proportions to enhance certain facial features (i.e. what to do for hooded eyelids or minimal eyebrows, etc.).

She started a side business at age 15 to help girls in pageants and or special events by teaching them how to do their makeup and or applying their makeup for them. Now, Abigail offers to teach techniques to enhance her clients’ features from day to night with a custom makeup tutorial.

Her clients have ranged from ages 14-76 with different skin tones.

What happens in the makeup tutorial?

Abigail will write and update instructions in the Makeup Analysis portion of your image portfolio. She will evaluate your facial proportions and demonstrate the tips to create more symmetry and enhance your facial features while still creating a natural look that you can achieve on your own.

Abigail coaches by filming the tutorial so you can refer back to her teaching. She will complete one side of your face, then have you mimic the application on the other side of your face, so she can see how you apply and help you master the skills.
